No factory, But I have been using X10 for over 20 years.
I have loads of stuff I have never used.
I will sell all X10 stuff I have for $300.00 plus shipping.
I have programmers books. I was a installer listed with X10 at one point.
I have several items you can not just go out and buy now.

So true. *sigh*

I'd like to think I have a lifetimes supply of X10 parts and pieces. I hope I am WRONG! I hope X10 comes up with some new X10 + products that will merge better with the rest of the worlds WiFi automation. I hope they come up with stuff so good.... I can't live without it.

Yeah, me too. But, I'm still waiting for a Palm Pad with independent HCUC on each button, Or a WiFi "Willie" that can handle all 256 HCUC and does not require the cloud. I don't think Authinx has much interest in new product development, don't think they have the talent or funds.  I was hoping the "Willie" would be their iPod success product, but alas....

I also don't think that Authinx has much interest in new products.

In my case it looks like they are starting to adopt some of the old X10WTI's tactics. I am now getting sale emails from them on a regular basis. I know an opt out is available. I just like to see what they are up to.

I don't think there are too many new X10 users. Mostly the present users coming up with all kinds of new ways to use X10.

Most automation sites say stay away from X10 if you are just starting out.

I've always enjoyed and benefited from the creativity and often just plain brilliance of fellow X10 users sharing their ideas and uses of automation here. But it seems that X10 tech (and it's users) are stuck with push-button "lighting control" as the primary use of Home Automation. And the newer WiFi based tech.... allows for HA to be so much more.
