Video is reversed.
« on: March 15, 2006, 12:35:56 PM »

I'm using a Professional Pan/Tilt camera with the 'normal' software.
The picture I get on my computer is reversed video left to right - i.e. writing is backwards, the pan left and right are backwards, etc.
I assume there is some setting I'm missing?

Your problem is most likely a Codec problem go to Preferences then Video Settings and try another Codec  one of them should  ::) work for you unless your running on a older machine then you'll want to search the net for video codecs and update them. ;)

I had assumed any codec required would come with the Vanguard software.
I'm looking at the camera images using the Vanguard software that came with the camera on a Windows 2000 computer (a coporate computer at that, that has never been used for displaying any video).

Where, exactly, would I find the Preferences, Video Settings you refer to?

Thanks for the help.
I ran the camera overnight on a two preset scan, and this morning the focus drive has driven to the limit and is still trying to drive.  Cycling power results in same.  Corporate IT won't allow free enough internet access to make the internet portion work, and the camera and drive system is too light for my application, and so I will be returning for refund on the extended warranty.
I'll see how that goes.
