I am new to this, and have just loaded AHP.  I only have a tm751 to play with. I have created a room, and placed a tm751 icon in the room. The cm15a is detected by AHP, and the tutorial wizard turns on and off the tm751.  I can control it from my RF remote, and AHP shows the coded device icon, on A1, switching on and off, but I cannot control the tm751 from AHP.  What have I missed?

Sorry to say. That is normal. The TM751 has no powerline receiver in it and will not respond to any X10 powerline signals from any controller including the CM15A Interface.
That is also why it can step on other powerline signals as it can't detect any signals before sending.
I don't use AHP anymore so I don't know if the CM15A interface; that has a RF transmitter in it; can be set to send an RF command to the TM751 like other remotes can.

What software do you use to control your system, Brian?

Primary Setup: Smarthome 1132CU Interface with their Smarthome Essentials software as I didn't need conditionals.
Second system in test as I don't trust it 100% yet. Insteon 2414U with Ken Ms InHomeFree software as Smarthome has not released any real software yet. The Insteon modules are all in the X10 Address mode for the 1132CU and Insteon addresses with the InHomeFree. X10 things like remotes; tranceivers;chime modules;Powerflash modules and a TR16A Touchtone Responder.

If the module is built as a transceiver and an RF signal for that housecode is received, the CM15A will automatically send RF to the TM751, so long as that house code is checked in the hardware settings.  This includes any other module with the same housecode as well.  The only PLC signal sent for that housecode will be from the TM751.  Whether or not the hardware is checked, the CM15A will still send an RF signal if triggered via the module icon in AHP, so long as the computer and the CM15A are connected.

If the TM751 does not respond to the request, my guess is that the RF from the CM15A is not reaching the TM751, and a minor adjustment in position may be needed for the transmitter to improve it's range.  A remote may work where the controller does not, since the transceiver will respond to either RF signal..  You could try moving the transceiver closer to the controller and retest.  Hope this helps.

This topic is as close to what I am wanting to know also.  I recently purchased the ActiveHome Pro Kit and having issues with RF and the CM15A controller.  I thought it might have to do with the phase issue and read that the TM751 put on the other phase might help.  After reading this thread, I am concerned that this might not help.

Questions:
1.  Is the CM15A capable of transmitting RF signals or just recieving them?
I am a networking specialist, so can understand the effects of doing subnetting for the other phase of wiring and directing all PowerLine commands via the TM751, but will the CM15A actually send RF commands to the TM751?

If this doesn't work, where can the phase coupler that plugs into a 220 outlet be purchased?  I am afraid that I should throw in the towel also as getting the system to work is creating a longer list of parts needed.

2.  Will the CM15A retain the macros needed to operate the TM751 as I outlined above, or will it require that my PC alwaysbe connected via the USB port?

It was my understanding that once programed, I could disconnect the USB and move the CM15A to a more centralized location.  My experience so far is that if I move the CM15A and my laptop to the other location of a X10 module, that module works, but my three-way light doesn't respond.  I move it back to the other location and my three way works if the remote is triggered close to the CM15A, but not if I am very far away from it.  This isn't desirable either, as the three way controls the garage light which I wanted to be able to access from outside the home. 

More information on usage of the CM15A and the TM751 would help alot!!

#1 yes it has an RF transmitter in it.
Will it send to a TM751. I have never tried it. Others may have more data for you.
