Need an Idea
« on: September 25, 2006, 10:28:17 PM »

I need an idea for a project.  I need to use home automation in some form or fashion, and tweak it...ie give it a little wrinkle.

For example, I was going to have my security cam email me when the motion sensor trips.  However, I have had a heck of a time finding the right hardware.  I have development experience in .NET, and was wondering if anyone could come up with a cool idea that I might be able to do over the weekend/couple of weeks.

Great community by way.  First time poster!  Woohoo!

I don't want to do all of your homework for you   ;)  , but how about voice control / response for a "twist"?

If it sounds like a winner, see my site at: http://www.wgjohns.com/bxvc.htm

P.S.
If you use it, please either donate or order Active Home Pro (required for it to control X10 modules) from the links on that page.

If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at: bill@wgjohns.com.

Good luck, what ever you decide to do!

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!
