Since your having the same issue with PC companion I'll look at that first as many have move to that program and code is simular! Worse case is I'll have to add a line of code as a back up to close program! :'

The XP Pro machine has often given me problems with new programs...all except AHP! If you think it best, I'll redo the whole thing. (Really annoying the test bed works fine!) Tnx, again Tuicemen.

Do the sample bat files included in PC Companion also refuse to close?
I have had occasion when one will refuse to close but thats usualy when I'm multi tasking and over loading the PC with tasks!
How much memory is in the Xp machine? ??? Maybe not enough!

Tuicemen-
The batch files also hang. 1GB of memory. Tried PcCompanion all by itself as well and it still hangs. (Sorry to take so long answering your question: Comcast went down last night.)

Net Framework 2.0. Thought I downloaded the latest version, but I guess not. I'll give it another shot and let you know how it goes. Tnx!

Tuicemen-
Went to version 3.0 (didn't see 3.5???) on the XP Pro machine. Also reloaded PcCompanion fresh. No luck. The program works as a standalone, but the moment I manually (without AHP running) double-click a batch file, such as Time, the program speaks the time but does not unload and the icons begin to fill the tray. The first and second work, the third is ignored and I have to manually exit each one. (Repeating the process repeats the problem.) More thoughts?

Tuicemen-
Put in 3.5 and reloaded PcCompanion in the AHP folder. Same problem. I also tried reloading X10Player (in its original location) with the same results. Both programs start and play, but will not unload. How do you say"Grrrrrrrrrrrr." More to try?
