Can I use another video capture card with
iWitness?

X10 Pro

Not currently, no. I'm not sure if we have an
plans to allow different capture devices.

why can I not use the older usb type of
camera adapter with Iwitness which I have
from past purchases

Indeed, I think this is a real issue!  If X10 came out with an iwitness patch that would allow foriegn webcams and video inputs to work with iwitness then this software would be great.  Right now I am stuck with only one input signal when I could have four.

I just purchased the AHP with the software suite. I knew when I bought it that I would also need to buy the VA11A to input video (I had read that at this forum). I haven't purchased the VA11A yet, and I not looking forward to buying it for all the reasons mentioned here.

I have a video input card already installed on my computer.

Hey X10.... how about a "DEAL" for all us IWitness customers! Maybe a VA11A and a cam combo, for those of us that wanted AHP but don't have cameras.

Same here X10.... but I'm waiting for you to throw it in with OnAlert  ;D I already have enough spare door/window sensors and security remotes.  :D

Try some different options / packages... it just might be good for business.  :)
