I'm trying to get my AHP to run with linux + wine but it wont start, anyone had any luck?
I only use my computer to setup AHP & store the comands / macros in AHP, it's odd, wine runs most other windows apps.

Try using cognac instead of wine. It has a higher alcohol content!!   ;)

Thanks for the smart mouth comment.  NOT.  >:(

For mike_m :  What is "wine" as far as Linux is involved, and what other Windows apps will run under it?  Is "wine" as flavor of Linux?

I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

GOOGLE: linux wine

Wine is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix.

Think of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely free alternative implementation of the Windows API consisting of 100% non-Microsoft code, however Wine can optionally use native Windows DLLs if they are available. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris.

Thanks.  I do Google on occasion (I use Firefox, which if you copy and right click, it will do a Google search for you). Since I am a 100% Windows user, I don't tend to follow the Linux world much.

As to mike_m's question, do you or Puck any idea how to help him?

I'm only a windows user myself as well. ;)

O.K

There's somone who posts here (I think whoever it is, they may be a CO.) that uses Linux.  At least I think so.

I'm a recent convert to Firefox and I wasn't aware of that "feature"!

Thanks! :)

Along the lines of my reply to Dan's PM:   My hair has started to grow back since I quit fiddling with AHP under its native Win XP.    I'm not about to start tearing it out again.  :)

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Maybe it's your tag line. ;) BTW, I'm a Linux user also. I haven't tried using AHP with Wine recently. I have no intention of it either, I don't need the hassles (I don't have my software key to reinstall the software). I tried it a while ago (2+ years?) and it failed to install.

You can see what I am doing at my home page: http://www.linuxha.com/.

Supposedly X10 was going to share the programming info, so far I've seen nothing and I doubt we'll see anything more than Woody and I have been able to figure out (http://www.linuxha.com/USB/cm15a.html) BTW. if I've forgotten anyone else who contributed my apologies.
