ms14a and sensitive
« on: December 02, 2006, 07:12:37 PM »

I installed in bedroom two MS14A near from other. I tape on wall to 5 feets from floor.
I define a first to B2 and a second to B3.

I use a cm15A and AHPro for test !

I noticed that a first is fast than second.
Sometimes one detects certain movements and the other not never.

Why one is more sensitive than the other ?

Can I adjust the sensitivity ?

B3 may not be a good choice for the second sensor. As the Dusk Dawn address for the B2 sensor is B3.
Dusk/Dawn Address = Sensor Address +1.
I have seen some mods for too much sensitivity but none for not enough.
Another thing that maybe a problem. If both detect motion at the sametime. One may get through to the CM15A and by default after a detect the sensor waits; I believe 10 seconds; before it can again detect a motion. So no more detects will happen until the timeout is over.

I tought to hide one after other to hide a face, and verify a delay ... and always first is fast than a second  !
I tried also to use B2 and C2 (B2 with CM15A) and (C2 with TM751)...
Maybe that a second is fail ... I will use this one to another place and buy another !

I found a problem...

A problem is not a sensitive question but a RF range question.
If I install my TM751 near of MS14A, so two MS14A run fine... but otherwise just a first run.

Is it possible to increase RF range on my second Ms14A ?

I have not seen a mod for a greater RF distance. I am sure if someone had done it they will give the data.
Normally you are sending to the TM751 or the CM15A?

On my CM15A I disabled RF receiver (with a switch), so I use TM751 only !
Maybe I want buy another TM751 and will use C House Code !

Oh yes. Now I remember. You did a complete RF Receiver disable on your CM15A.
