Command ON, AllLightsOn and AllUnitsOff
« on: December 26, 2006, 01:02:26 PM »

Hi,

Why does LM465 adjusted to B3 (or others modules)  answer quickly to B3 AllLightsOn , B3 AllUnitsOff instead B3 OFF or B3 ON
with MiniController(IR543) or (Mc460) ?
Does anyone know a reason ?

All Lights Off; All Lights On and All Units Off are a single command sent. House Code with function.

Individual addresses are two commands.
Address House Code+ Unit Code
House Code function.

From My Line Monitor:
For a single modules address at A4
A4
A ON

For a whole house code command
A All Lights On
A All Lights Off
A All Units Off.

All Lights Off; All Lights On and All Units Off are a single command sent. House Code with function.

I want decrease a delay after each command for turn on a light when motion is detected , I'm  want me if this would be a good idea to use many house code in my house, and always use All Lights On on appropriate house code ?

I'm explain me:
In my house, many (4) rooms are controlled (lamp module) by RF Motion Detector, I will use a W800RF32A to detect a RF Code, and my PC(my own program) could send All Lights Off; All Lights On and All Units Off to appropriate house code on PowerLine via USB or serial port over a fast modul able to send !

Lamp module on Room1= B16 and  Motion Detector on Room1 = B14
Lamp module on Room2= C16 and  Motion Detector on Room2= C14
Lamp module on Room3= D16 and  Motion Detector on Room3= D14
Lamp module on Room4= E16 and  Motion Detector on Room4 = E14

and my Software will send a command AllLightsOn when Motion is detected to appropriate house code !

Do you believe that this would be a good idea ?

Looks like it should work.
Just as long as you remember that a All Lights On to one of the house codes will also turn on any other Lamp Type module on that house code. Also an All Units Off will turn off everything on the House Code. Technically there is a All Lights Off Code but I have not  seen it on anything from X10.
