I just received some KR22A's in the mail yesterday.
I can't get the KR22A's to control a couple of WS467's (wall switches) already installed that are set up to House Code C unit codes 5 and 6.
I programmed the credit card controllers to the same house/unit codes, but can't get the wall switches to work.  I even stood right next to the transceiver, but nothing worked.

I don't have a problem working the 467's with a HR12A palm pad remote.  The only thing I notice is that I have to hold the "on" key down for maybe 4 to 5 seconds on the HR12A to get the wall switches to work.  After that, they're fine.
But why can't I get the KR22A's to work these same switches?

Also, I tested out the KR22A's by setting up another transceiver and appliance module to house code B unit codes 5 and 6.  The Kr22a's do control the appliance module.  However, I notice that the operating range seems to be 20 feet max.  What is the operating distance of the KR22A's?

If you have to hold the key on for that long then you have a phase issue and/or line noise problem. You should be able to control the light switches with just a single momentary pressing of the button on the HR12A. This does not necessarily explain the issue you are having with the KR22A's, but you should fix that first. Try your transceiver in other outlets to see if the problem goes away.

If your transceiver is a TM751 or RR501, set the KR22A to unit code to 1 and see if it triggers the transceiver's built in Appliance Module (could be unit code 9 if RR501). This will at least tell you that this particular transceiver is picking up the remote's signal.

What is the operating distance of the KR22A's?

This will depend on the transceiver, the antenna, walls, other obstacles, etc. Results will vary from person to person based on their setup. They are not very powerful transmitters, so 20' may be the best you will get with your setup.

Puck, thanks for your reply and help.
I removed and reinserted the batteries in the KR22A, set the house code to C, plugged in another TM751 to House code C, low and behold.....pressing 1 turns the transceiver on and off.
Then reset the unit code on the KR22A to 5, left the tm751 plugged in, tested out the lights on the garage (about 65 feet away), and now both wall switches work. But if I move too far away from the transeivers, the kr22A doesn't work (I agree about the range issue), but the HR12A seems to work a lot better now too.

I have to  check into that phase coupler.
