Electrical Outlet no longer responsive
« on: February 01, 2007, 12:46:28 PM »

I have two outlets that still provide power, but seem to no longer work with any modules.  Both used to work.  One had a halogen lamp plugged into a two lamp module and the other was a neon light plugged into a two way appliance module.  Both worked great for a while then, at different times stopped responding to AHP commands.  Changing out the modules did nothing to help, even if I did not plug the lamps into them.  Has anyone else had this problem and most importantly, is there a fix?  It's driving me crazy....er.....
Thanks.

It could be a noise problem.
Have you added anything new around the same time as the problem started? It could be almost any electrical device: wall warts, TV's, stereo's, computer monitors or surge protectors.

If the halogen watts is more than the rated watts it will work only for a while and as time goes on it will either do 2 things, the lamp will dim and then brighten up as if someone was playing with the controller, or it will stop responding to your controller. Wall modules are only 300wts.
