I finally got around to playing with  some more Ninjas I received a 2 or 3 months ago! ::)
I quickly noticed the problem many have complained about with cams at different ends of the house!
Then it dawned on me ::) (since I had a spare ninja now from the 4 for one sale)
Mount the video receiver on a ninja!
Setting the receiver on the ninja allows you to move the antenna towards the proper cam with a macro and a preset! This isn't a 100% effective but in my situation it worked fine reception increased dramatically! No more trying to split hairs it allows for 4 preset positions for the antenna. ;) :D ;D

[li]Mount  the receiver to the top of the ninja with some two way tape!
.[/li]
[li]The antenna position will depend on you location but since the ninja tilts up & down as well as side to side straight up should work in most cases!
.[/li]
[li]Set the presets on the receiver ninja
.[/li]
[li]Create the macros
[/li]

[/list]

Couple of draw backs:
If the other cams are on ninjas as well certain positions on them may cause poor performance but that has always been the case!
If you have more than 4 wireless cams you may still find one you can't receive well!
If you need instant views from cams at opposite ends of the house there is a delay before the antenna gets to the preset.

I don't remember reading about this else ware but I can't believe I'm the first to think of this!
Hope this helps some as much as it helped me!
;)***Cheers!*** ;)
Happy New Years!

Tuicemen,

Interesting idea.  ;) I will have to give it a try. I currently have four cameras set up and two of them are on Ninjas. I currently have them all working although the reception is marginal on one of them.

Too bad the antenna isn't mounted on the Ninja base instead of on the camera.  ;D

I have not had a Ninja apart yet and maybe someone that has can post here... I think that the Ninja's antenna rotates with the Ninja unit. What I don't know is what type of antenna is in it. I have one Ninja that seems to rotate out of reception or borderline out of reception.

Tuicemen's idea is cool... it would keep the receiver pointing in the right direction as long as speed wasn't a factor.

KDR,

If you are referring to the video antenna. The Ninja base does not have a video antenna. The video antenna is on the camera.

Sorry Jim i wasn't clear on that... My bad

I mean the Ninja itself. Its Pan and Tilt are controlled by RF

Does someone knows how to get working fine 6 cameras? I got two ninja, with b/w view. 2 color and 2 b/w.  I have activehome pro and the cameras only 2 send signal.  After updating software AHpro I got signal. Thanks. ::)
