Up is Down and Left is right?

I have my vanguard mounted in a PTZ dome enclosure and I flipped the picture in the setup.  When I zoom I have to use the "-" key and when I want to pan right I have to use the left arrow key.  Anyone know why my controls in the vangaurd software would be reversed.  The wireless remote works fine.
