Powermid keep transmitting.
« on: May 17, 2007, 03:49:56 PM »

hi all I have the Powermid to use the remote in another room.

This happen on both sony LCD and Sharp LCD. if I have them on auto adjust picture, the light on the transmitter is solid. and the remote will work very slow in the remote room and will not operate the device directly (that is if I point it at the device (VCR), if I cover up the IR emitter, it will work directly.

IF I turn off the auto picture, the transmiter light goes out, and the remote will work in the remote room but may not work directly (as stated below).

Sometime the light on the sender will be out and the light on the receiver will be on.  IF the light is on, then the remote will not work directly. So my work around is to cover up the IR emitter.  I have try moving the receiver, sometime it's work's, and then it's doesn't

So does anyone know what is inter ferring and how I can fix it.

I had a VCR years ago that used two way I/R between itself and it's remote control.  It worked fine with a generic remote that was only one way so I never did figure out why it was made that way.  Check the instructions to see if this is what's going on.

Change the batteries in your remote and leave Auto Picture off.
