What about a single camera set up?

I was about to buy the 4 cam deal, then I found this forum. Everything I have been reading on the main site is how easy the set up is (in about 10 minutes).
But what I am finding out here is the headache after the setup is never ending.
I really want something to watch my truck in the driveway. Last year my other truck was stolen right out of the driveway. So now every time I hear a peep out front, I have to get up and go downstairs to look out the front window. I have a really bitchen off road truck.
So what I have been reading that a multi cam system is not the way to go. How about a single cam?
Which one would any of you recommend? If any.

From my experience, if you only need one camera and you can hard wire it you'll be a lot more happier.
The 2.4GHz wireless cams can have range and interference problems from everything the microwave to your router.
Note: I believe I read here once upon a time some suggested settings to reduce interference.
My cameras are in opposite directions from the directional receiving antenna. I have to compromise the receiving antenna by laying flat to get both cameras but I still have some interference from the wireless router that's 3 feet away. Glad I got my cameras more for fun than security.

Last point first - NO! The setup is NOT "never ending".

First point - (in about 10 minutes) - NO!! You've heard the expression " You get what you paid for. ", right?

Well, either pay out BIG BUCKS for "Top-of-the-line" equipment and have it "Professionally installed" *OR* buy from X10, READ, READ AGAIN, READ SOME MORE, LEARN LOTs, SAVE LOTs, and ENJOY...

Nothing I enjoy more than recommending to people as to how to spend their money.

Stick a cam in the same window you've been looking out! If you have a place for a TV/VCR close to it (or another window with a good view) even better.

Hardwired motion sensors with X10 floodlights would be nice (but they won't signal the VCR Commander by themselves). Having a motion sensor turn on lights inside and outside as well as signal a chime in the bedroom is a nice feature.
