I am wondering if anyone can point me to a visual basic script that can read and send to a serial port.  The reason I ask is that I have an RCS TR-40 thermostat that I would like to pull some data from for a PHP script.  All I need to do is send a request for the temp, and have the script wait for a response.  Once the script receives the response it will output it to the command line.  This can be read into 'a PHP script and displayed. 

Any help is appreciated as always
