Since almost day 1, the motion detector has
falsed on at least a weekly basis. Finally
took it out of the loop. Has worked fine
until last week (unit is a little more than a
year old). Now the base station cannot be
armed/disarmed unless the controller is
within a foot of the antenna and none of the
detectors will register. Needless to say,
I'm none too pleased with x10.com. Also have
the motion detector cameras and home
automation systems too. The cameras don't
work in inclement weather (tendancy to turn
the lights on and leave them on in cold/wet
weather plus direct sunlight wreaks havoc
with the sensor) and the automation system
hiccups now and again also. Q: Do you all
think I'm just better off writing off the
security system and buying Linear or purchase
an extended warranty and try X10.com again.
