W800RF32 and ActiveHome Pro (Cm15a)
« on: August 28, 2007, 07:14:06 PM »

Does anyone know if the W800RF32 is compatible with the CM15a and ActiveHome Pro? I just got one and I downloaded the demo decoder for the W800RF32. It does not seem to be passing the commands to ActiveHome Pro
And one other odd thing is that no matter what house code I use or what buttons I push on my palmpad remotes, the decoder always sees it as K3 off.. I am not even on the K3 code. I even tried 4 different codes and pushed different buttons (and used different remotes) and it sees everything as K3 off. Any ideas or suggestions? I would really appreciate it!

When I looked at buying one about 10 months ago I was told it was not compatible with AHP. At that time it only worked with 2 or 3 other software packages. I have tried a few other programs and keep coming back to AHP. I don't think it has changed yet.

The V572A and V572RF32 are definately compatible.  Don't know what you intend to do with your system, but these two are of use.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I guess that was a waste of money  >:( Maybe I will try the V572 instead now. Do you know if it supports multiple house codes at the same time?

It will handle all house codes or as few as you want to select on initial setup.  I'm not sure about multiple signals though.  I've never tried to load it with many commands.  Sounds like a question for the manufacturer.

Fantastic. Thanks a ton.

By the way, what is the difference between the V572A and V572RF32? Is it just that the 32 bit version will work with security?

Yes, the V572A/V572RF32 is an all-housecode transceiver.  It comes preconfigured for all housecodes and units, but can be reconfigured with the setup utility to select or deselect housecodes and units in ranges of 8, e.g., it can be configured to transceive only units 1-8 or only units 9-16 on individual housecodes.

(You can download the setup utility to see what it does without having an actual V572A attached - the same with the V572RF32 model.)

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

To jump in here to help clarify the differences the V572A only does standard house unit codes. The V572RF32 will do the standard house codes and the extended codes used on security modules.

Thanks for the help guys ;-) That answers my questions. Now if I can just find out why ActiveHome Pro keeps getthing the K3 RF OFF problem over and over I should be OK.
