When I put my Christmas lights up the other day, I decided to x10 them which I've never done before. I first tried a brand new appliance module, it  would not work with the load, but would click on and off in every outlet I tried it with in the house.
I tried a new lamp module, and it all worked perfectly. For almost 2 days. Then it stopped responding. I couldn't get it to work in the house after that, so it must have fried out.
I know the modules have a 500w capacity, and I know my strings of lights were about 700w. So I'm not faulting those modules. I just wish we could get a higher watt rated module.

Odd that your lamp module worked remotely when the Appliance module would not.  You may have a noise problem and the Lamp module was just more sensitive (if the Lamp module was new, it had AGC which would explain the higher sensitivity).  The Appliance module will handle the 700W of lights. Try troubleshooting for Noise or Phase / Coupling problems.
