I bought all the stuff here to get my four camera system running on my computer only to find out later that it doesn't work with Windows Vista because they don't have the drivers. I don't see  anything on here that warned me that they don't work with windows Vista. When are you going to have the drivers?

Well....it seems to me that I am not the only one having problems with Windows Vista. They should tell you before you buy it that it doesn't work with Windows Vista. That seems pretty fraudulant to me.

I can't disagree! The ad should state "not yet Vista ready". But they are working the issue... and there are work-arounds for now. Keep reading and posting. It will work!

Hi Guys,

I keep hearing about Vista drivers for the VA11A, or at least a workaround.  Where can I find them???  Help please!  I have tried to search this foreum for the workaround, but with no success.

I just installed the AHP into Vista with the latest downloaded drivers and program and it "appears" to work ok. It does seem to stop working after about 2 hours usage, but that may be a hardware problem.

Read here http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=13179.0 you won't find "drivers for Vista" there... but (it's a big thread) you will find information for a work-around.

I have contacted X-10 numerous times since installing Vista shortly after it's introduction. Since then I have ben given various dates for the availability of these drivers; each promise being broken. It should be a great embarrassment to X-10 that they continue to advertise a product without a warning that it will not work with Windows latest operating systems. What a joke!!
I have used x-10 products since 1965; yes, they have existed at least since then. At the time, they were made by a company called BSR which was one of the 2 biggest sellers of "record players", or as you would call them today, turntables. They made many modules at that time and were a very innovative company AND they supported their product. No slick, misleading advertising, just an up-front company that supported the products they made. Today, the company markets their product well, but perhaps lacks some of the scruples they once had. I have lots of their equipment, much of it today useless by a lack of video drivers for a current, over a year old, operating system. Exactly how long should it take such a large company to come up with a proper video driver? I challenge X-10 to give it's consumers a definitive answer, and to be up-front with it's customers. Until then, I will be buying no new X10 product.

This is ridiculous as SP1 for Vista is in beta.  X10 USA should be raked over the coals for this. It's not like Vista just came out.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

How is it that you get all this "secret" information from X10?  Do you call them on a daily basis and bug them until they relent?  Tell us (honestly) what kind of system are you running (it seems to change from day to day).  Do you really have all these products?  Why do you tell us one day that you quit using these systems and then keep posting on the forums.  The World can't wait to find out these and many other questions.
(yes, I expect to be flagged for this post, but I've heard enough)

good Idea. now you can remove firewalls and that so no worries with connecting remotely. Thats the best way to do it.
