Floodlights keep tripping with any motion

Floodlight motion sensor maintains maximum sensitivity and daylight operation even when I set it for minimum sensitivity and to work only at dark. Unit is hard wired to electrical. Do I need to turn the circuit breaker off to reset the motion sensor. I have tried turning off the unit with a controller. I have unscrewed the light bulbs so I don't infuriate my neighbors. I only have one of these things and want to add three more but not if they turn on during the day and at any motion.

Mine works flawlessly.... you might want to try turning the dials that control the sensitivity's in the opposite direction.

Just replaced a 5 year old one today.  What I found is that after making Any change/adjustment to it's settings, you have to let it settle down for a few minutes before testing it. One other thing, don't have it pointing towards the sun.

Thank You as it turned out to be the pointing at the sun problem.
