ActiveHome constantly locks/freezes up PLEASE HELP!!!!!
« on: October 08, 2007, 04:20:49 PM »

Please help I have tried everything I can think of…ActiveHome program locks/freezes up when the screensaver comes on. I tried deleting-reinstalling the program now it will lock up when the camera record is activated. I have tried the following…

•   Deleting  – reinstalling the AH program multiple times.
•   Add 1g memory to the computer.
•   Tried two registry cleaning programs.

Could you give us a bit more info? What OS are you running on your computer? What version of AHP do you have? This will help with someone being able to reply.

I have XP on a relatively new Dell dimension 9100.  As for AHP I purchased it December 2006, maybe V 1.42.

V 1.42 is Active Home with the CM11A interface (Serial) Connection.  Some motherboards with XP have fits with the COM ports.

If you bought Active Home Pro (AHP) your version number should start with with a "3" and you have the CM15A USB interface.

This may be a long shot ... but you mentioned AHP locks up when the camera record is activated.  Under TOOLS/PREFERENCES/VIDEO SETTINGS, what Codec are you using?  I had similar problems when I used several of the Codecs.  Try using Microsoft Video 1.  It works for me with no problems at all.

Like I said, this may be a long shot.  But worth the investigation.

It’s set at (Microsoft video 1). A couple of weeks ago I thought that may have been the problem, though it didn’t help. Thanks for your incite.
