Today we went to a new customer site where he has an old dell running xp with linksys ip camera software.
He has a new PC with Windows 7 and the linksys software is not compatible with windows 7. So we had to find some new software for him to use with his ip cams.
I quickly ran out to the internet to try to find some inexpensive multi camera software. That seems to be an oxymoron. I could only find expensive or simple software.
Anyway on a forum where others have this issue, someone said to use the cisco software for the later wvc200 cameras. Which is freely downloadable here.
http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/pub/Redirect.x?mdfid=282414031It's real neat. It has a table where you fill in the unit id (1,2,3,4 etc), the IP of the camera and the port (80) in this case.
I have 4 boxes with video and it records on a schedule too. I think there are like 8 or more slots for cameras.
Go getcha some!
