Recording AVI video in Vanguard

When I try to record video from my cameras using Vanguard and I view the video it is only approx. 14 sec. long and instead of one complete video there are more than one and they are all around 10 sec. long and have a 2 min gap in between them.
How can i fix this problem so that my recorded videos are one complete file of  uninterupted  video ?
