CM11a and ActiveHome losing connectivity
« on: November 16, 2007, 10:04:10 AM »

Win XP
I finally got it to work using a USB to Serial adapter works GREAT!! the only problem I have it once it cycles through it's timer settings that I have programmed, it seems to losse connection with the CM11A, I have to restart ActiveHome for it to work again.

That seems to be a common complaint with Win XP.

But if you download your timers and macros to the interface, they'll execute without the necessity of having AH running.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

Sometime you can set a few things that may help. Not all the time but worth a try.
Try the Compatibility Tab for the Active Home Programs Icon
Set it to Windows 98/Windows ME
Check the Disable Visual Themes box
Check the Turn off Advanced text services for this program.
