5 cameras, do I need two receivers?
« on: February 25, 2008, 04:08:09 PM »

I am running 3 cameras on AHP iWitness with one receiver. I would like to add two more cameras (total 5). I notice the view is grouped in 4's, would I need to buy an additional receiver/USB cable to make this work?

You only need the one receiver. When you have more cameras and exceed the group of 4, you have to remember that activating a camera in one group will not turn off cameras in another group.

Also adding more then 4 cams will expand the viewing box number! ;)
you have to remember that activating a camera in one group will not turn off cameras in another group.
This can easily be over come with a couple simple macros ;)

You may want to give this a try...

If all the cameras are placed in the same room then turning on a camera in one group should turn off other cameras in other groups. But this only works if all cameras are in the same room.

This is working with my 7 cameras and I haven't seen anyone else post that in fact it works for them. Please post back here if you give this a try and what your results are.
