i have a 2 TM751 transceiver system using 3 codes and a bunch of wireless 3 and 8 button controllers.

one night after a new direct tv box was installed,if that even means anything,  nothing would work and one of the transceivers kept going on and off 3 or 4 times during the night.
i unplugged the bad transceiver and still nothing would work though the other transceiver.

a day later it all seems to work.
i pugged the bad transceiver back in and lo and behold it works fine also without the on-off cycling it was doing.

anybody know what happened and how to avoid it in the future.

thanks.

I have read of RF interference caused by loose "F" connectors.

f connector feels tight.
it stopped working for no apparent reason and started working again for no apparent reason.
i am wondering if the power ulitilty had a problem with the electricity and that's why the transceiver was going on and off by itself and the rest of the system shut down.

Not common but maybe there was some power line noise that came and went.
The on off one may have been confused by noise and was in a strange state. The power off and on later may have done a hard reset on it.
