Simp lmacro
« on: March 18, 2008, 10:52:57 PM »

I programed a simple macro.

If A14 on

Turn A2 on               Lamp mod
delay 0sec
Turn A3 on               Lamp mod
delay 0 sec
TURN A4 on               Lamp mod

Now the problem is When I start the macro the first lamp comes on then about 2 sec later the next one and then 2 sec later the last one. If I trun the lamp on with my remote or even just in AHP the light slowy brightens on. Now in the macro they just pop right on but I have the sec delay in between and there shouldnt be any delay...... I hope I said that all right...any ideas on how to get the delay out...and yes I have removed the 0sec delays from the macro and it still works the same.

Sometimes those small changes can be ... somehow overlooked.... when the macro's are saved to the interface. I find I "sometimes" need to remove the CM15A's batteries, unplug the USB, and remove the CM15A from it's power source for a few secs... then re-download the new ahx file.

Sounds like you have the lamp modules with Soft Start; since they slowly ramp on and off.
They act differently in AHP.
You may want to try defining the module as a LM14A as it had soft start though it was also a two way type module

Did everyone get the email notice that X10 is now advertising a soft start lamp module?
It has AGC for increased signal sensitivity.
(Let's just hope they gave it a new model number.)

Not remembering the model number for the old ones, does that make the LM465 a new number?
I wonder if this soft start module will lead to an AHP software update to include it. (Hey I can dream.)  ;)

A couple years ago.... I told the police officer that pulled me over... "You must be mistaken Officer... I REMEMBER putting those new License Plates ON".

So now... holding an old lamp module in my hand (because nether I or the police now trust my memory)... it reads LM465

I like the idea of a soft start module. By not changing the model number, however, it's yet another case where X10 has appeared to shoot itself in the foot.  :(
