X-10 Platinum Remote

Seem to be unable to interface with my Mintek DVD-1600; learn function does not work, no code information.

Can anyone help? the 5 in 1 remote does not ahve a specific DVD button, so I have been trying with he VCR - that may be the problem?

Which model of the remote do you have, the old one with 4 batteries or the new one with 2 batteries?
