Registration for AHP?
« on: June 26, 2008, 08:51:55 PM »

Just received my AHP Kit (the five software modules and the CM15A interface). The registration codes were emailed on the day of purchase.

I noticed that the whole software package is only 627 kB. This seems so small that I worry about the authenticity of the software. What do you think?

Before I proceed with installation could someone tell me if these software packages can be installed on more than one computer at home? If registration is processed using internet I fear that this is going to be very impractical in the case that I change computer or need to reinstall for whatever reason.

At the present time I have at home an old PC (Pentium II, 256 MB, 2 USB ports and Windows 98) and a new iMac with Intel processor allowing it to run as a PC (after installation of Boot Camp from Apple). Do any of you know about the possibility to use these last Apple machines and the old PC that I just referred to with AHP ?

Thanks for your time.

I have no idea what would happen if you tried to do something online with more than one at a time but the software can be reinstalled without problems on a different computer.
I've moved my AHP twice. It is now located on a dedicated computer.

The software you get from the link in the email is just the installer stub.  BE SURE TO PRESERVE IT.  When run, it will download and install the actual AHP software.  You're allowed to run and register a few times. usually 10 times.  (You can supposedly contact X-10 and get the counter reset if you need more than 10.)

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
