Entering macros without the wizard
« on: June 29, 2008, 02:59:52 AM »

Is there a way to enter macros as text commands instead of using the wizard.  I'm a programmer and though wizards are often helpful to get started they don't always do exactly what you want them to do.  I'd like to post a question about a specific macro I'm having problems with but can't even find a way to cut/paste the macro summary/commands.

With respect to cutting and pasting I believe you will find a file on your computer called "ahpeeprom_w.txt" - this is a text version of the data that was downloaded to the CM15a at the time of the last write.  You can cut and paste from this.  I'm not sure if it is the same in all operating systems, but on mine is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Active Home Professional.

Another trick is to go to File>Reports>Macro - this opens an HTML document of your macros.  You can then use you browser to edit the page (from IE7 Page>Edit With Microsoft Word) and then copy and paste from there.

As for writing the macro in text as though it is a programming language - you have me there.

Good luck,

Paul
