The Newsletter girl
« on: August 01, 2008, 11:23:12 AM »

OK.. "The newsletter girl" may NOT be her actual name... but I think you know who I am refering to. I think X10 has changed their ad's somewhat. Has anyone else noticed?

Here is what I am really refering to (see image below) a new look... not babes in swim suits (although the newsletter girl IS attractive). I like the new look.

Sure seem like every few months or so the Deals Sign-up person changes. She is not as pushy as some of the previous ones where.  :'

I generally make a point to hit pause/stop before any talking ads get started as I lump them in the same category as pop up ads so no I haven't noticed.

I agree with steven r I can't stand websites like that.

I'm 110% agree on that.  It's really annoying. The web/internet has changed already.  It's not like 7-10 years ago where pop-up, pop-down, pop-under, pop-over ... bla bla bla ...  are everywhere.
BTW, I like the new add where some funky sketch of those cam... remote.

The x10 web site is loud in more ways than one.
And nearly a porn site too. Not a place for a Christian as I am.

Funny.

I just read an article today talking about a study someone did.

It turned out that by including a picture of a nice looking woman in their advertising of mortgage refinancing, that most men reacted to the ads with the woman as if the mortgage rate was more than 4% lower!

Sadly, sex sells and X10 (and everyone else) knows it!

It's like hot chicks in a Radio Shack catalog. Which as I recall there were not any.
It just doesn't fit. They're lamp controllers for cryin out loud!
Whatya expect outta Vegas I suppose though.

(AFAIK) x10.com is in Vegas.
