For some reason timers set in AHP version 3.228 for Leviton HCM10-1S "green line" wall switches will not work.  It is possible
to turn the light on, dim, and on in AHP and also in Smart Macros, but, timers will not work.  Is there any work around or
temporary patch any one can think of for this.

Thank You,

John Turi

John,
Actually, having timers that do not function is not all that uncommon.  Normally we recommend that you check the "Issue On in Place of Bright 100%" option under menu item "Tools/Preferences/Macro Options/.  Make sure you save your change to the interface.

Since you have a Leviton HCM unit, I would also recommend that you re-identify it as a "LM14a 2-way appliance lamp module" within AHP.  After changing the module type, verify proper operation by moving the module slider to 50% and verifying that the unit responds.

I did double check that the box was checked in my preferences to substitute on for 100% bright.  It was set correctly, but, your tip about changing the module type to an LM14a worked great!  I think that you meant to select 2 Way Lamp Module for the HCM10-1S.  This fixed my problem.

Thanks Again,

John Turi

LM14A is a two way type Lamp Module. Now discontinued by X10 along with the AM14A two way Appliance Module.

John,
You are correct, I did mean a LM14a Lamp module (not appliance).  Thank you, I've corrected the post.

Brian is also correct that the Lm14a and AM14a have, unfortunately, been out of production for some time.  The interface for these units uses an extended code protocol which works rather nicely for Leviton units as well.  Your Leviton units are not 2-way modules, so the "poll" functions will not work.  Other than that, I don't believe you'll notice any detrimental effects.

Thanks to both of you.  I really appreciate all the help and everything seems to be working pretty good.

Thanks,

As of AHP 3.206, the "Issue On in place of Bright 100%" applied only to macros, not timers.  (Of course one could always replace a timer with two timed macros.)
I don't know whether this changed in AHP 3.228.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.
