Help - I'm in a hole!!!!
« on: September 28, 2008, 07:13:22 AM »

I'm losing sleep!

Simply put, AHP stopped responding to KR10A "Disarm" commands.

2- Independent computers, One Vista, one XP-SP3
2- AHP Installations
2- CM15A's
5- Different KR10As
2- SH624s

The activity monitor(s) show all keypresses correctly EXCEPT:
If the activity monitor is open, the signal when I press a KR10A "Disarm" is, "Receive RF xxx-KeyChain - System Armed - Away"

- but get this!!!    If I close, then reopen the Activity Monitor, that line's text changes to  "Receive RF xxx-KeyChain - System Disarmed"

Both systems!  All remotes.  I even uninstalled AHP from the laptop and reinstalled.  I took it out in the yard with just a CM15 hanging from it.  Completely NEW AHX.  One room, one module (KR10A).  KR10A "Disarm" will NOT register.  Installed SH624's and THEY work fine - all functions.

OK, dumb question.  Is the OnAlert plugin installed and still registered?

Are you sure that the other parts, and their batteries, are all still OK?

Believe me, nothin's dumb at this point (except whatever I'm missing)

Yep, uninstalled & reinstalled today.

2-old, 3-brand new KR10As - all new batteries -and the DS7000 responds from 100'.

Something's really weird here....

Other than re-formatting and reinstalling everything (OS, AHP, etc)  is there any way to completely uninstall AHP?

Well - I re-formatted my laptop, and reinstalled AHP and all 4 Plug-ins.  I let AHP update - it went to 3.228.  (Puck - ???)

Everything is working.  Correctly.

...it's Monday - I awoke to a smoked desktop - motherboard is fried - ordered a new XPS 460, 2.5 GHz, 4 GB RAM, etc.  Weekend rebuild coming....

Hey - I believe you! - And that's about when I started having problems.  I don't have a screen cap utility loaded yet, but, when I go Help-About, I see 3.228 - BUT - the title says "Updating Plugins" - there's no disk action going on, and if I go Help-Update, it says 228 is the latest.

No matter - the KR10As "Disarm" signal is again being recognized by AHP.
