Turning on TV/home entertaining system?
« on: September 29, 2008, 09:03:25 PM »

Is there a way that you can have the X10 system to turn on my TV/Home entertainment system? What I would like to do is set up a timer/macro to turn the system on right as I am waking up in the morning, and before I get home from work at night.

Like is there any IR interface that can be added to the system?

Thanks.

The only X10 IR control that I am aware of is throught the [X10] third party software.

Bills Voice Commander (BVC) now has IR control. I have used BVC myself for a couple years now to Voice Command my X10 devices (and MORE). I even have a BVC Fan Site. The links I provided here should give you all the info you need. If not... post or PM any questions you might have. Or.... check-out my YouTube Videos.

PC Companion Can do this with the VCR Commander Plug-in.
It will alow you to turn on several devices and control many of their functions from one X10 command!
Of coarse a CM15A is needed to!
