I recently reinstalled my DS7000 after it has been sitting on the shelf for 4-5 years.  It has a behavior that I don't remember as being normal....perhaps somebody can confirm this behavior as problem or as normal behavior....
When the alarm is tripped and begins to dial out, the recorded message begins immediately.  If I pick up the dialed phone on the first ring, the message has been playing for 8-12 seconds.  Why doesn't the console sense when the dialed phone has picked up and THEN begin the message playback???
Is there a way to adjust the delay time?
Is this operation normal???
Can the console be configured to repeat the message until the dialed phone has been hung up???

Thanks for confirming thats the way your unit works.   I might not mind this behavior too much if the message would keep repeating....oh well
