...I switched the (VR42A) audio\video receiver back to house code A
[/size]
The A, B, C, D, setting on the (VR42A) audio\video receiver..... ISN'T part of a House/Unit code.
That switch... controls the audio\video broadcast channel.
There is a similar switch on the wireless camera (
the camera itself... NOT the one on the power supply)
under the little rubber plug thingy.
The wireless cameras... and the audio\video receiver(s) must be set on the same letter code as each other. The broadcast audio\video letter code used is a different frequency as the remote controls.
- Power supply codes = House/Unit codes
- Camera and Receiver mounted codes = 2.4 GHz Audio/Video Broadcast codes
Whereas the Camera and Receiver mounted codes can be set independent of the House/Unit Codes... the Audio/Video Broadcast codes on the Wireless Cameras and Video Receiver MUST match each other.
As an example: You can have your cameras set (at the plug-in wall-wart) to House/Unit A-1, A-2, A-3.... and control those with PalmPad or similar remote. Then (under the little rubber plug on the cameras) you could set the Audio/Video broadcast channel to D. You must be sure to then set the Audio/Video broadcast channel on the receiver to D also.
