Door/window sensor trips alarm without delay

According to the DS700 manual tripping a door/window sensor DS10A that is set to MAX will give a 30 second delay before sounding the alarm.
Mine are sounding the alarm immediately.

Am I missing something?

The delay... is when the alarm is set for away. If your testing it set at home... there is no delay.
