Ok, it's only been 2 days, but my re-flashed V572 has not had a PLC flood yet! Warren told me they re-configured its RF filtering.
For those of you who have them, email WGLDesigns.com, get an RMA#, and send yours back for a firmware upgrade. I sent mine out on Saturday morning and got it back Wednesday morning.
$0.03 more - The V572RF32 is around $114. Jeff Volp's XTB-IIR is $169 (delivered). - And in my opinion, if you're going to do any serious X10'ing - you should have both.
The XTB-IIR couples phases, amplifies the PLC's, and makes them be polite. The V572 has the receiver in it that we all wish was (and should be) in the CM15A. The V572RF32 is a whole-house transceiver that can receive all 256 X10 RF signals and all of the X10 Security sensor's & remote's signals and send them as PLC's on the powerline. My CM15A is plugged into my XTB, as is my V572. So all PLC's (both directions) go through the XTB which amplifies, and politely sends them out on both phases.
I especially want to stress that my handheld remotes operate much better with the V572 output going into the XTB than when I had the V572 going through a PSC05. Dimming is much smoother too.
(...and NO, I don't work for either company, and YES I pay full price )
