WS13A Connection
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:26:06 PM »

Recently I converted my kitchen lights to CFL.  I had been using a WS12A and companion switch to control the kitchen lights but with the change to CFL I had to change the switch.  So I installed a WS14A today just as the instructions state using the neutral wires in the switch where the master is located.

The problem I am having is that when I push the master switch manually the lights work fine, the will turn on and off no problem.  I can go to the slave switch and turn the lights off.  I can also turn the lights off from a seperate remote keypad.

When trying to turn the lights on from the slave switch  nothing happens.  I get no "click" in the master, no reaction at all.

When I try to remotely turn the lights on using a keypad, the master gives me two fast "clicks" as if it is turning on and off immediately.  No lights come on.

I have it wired as the diagram shows and same as when I had the WS12A in there before.  Any suggestions?

Additional information: When I disconnect the control line from the master switch it operates just fine.  Turns on and off manually AND via x10 remote panel.
