Funny ... Eric Boyd tells me the same thing ... wait ... its been over a year now   rofl

I will never buy X10 stuff again and I am getting rid of what I have.  Didn't work on XP SP3 or Windows 7 for me.  Good job X10 ... you sure made me a happy camper after wasting days with your tech support that can't help a fly! #:)

Daddyfrank,

Try uninstalling the VA12A in Device Manager, power down, unplug VA12A, then restart and reinstall drivers, and plug the VA12A into a different USB port than the one you've been using.  No reason why this should be necessary, but I've had multiple times where Windows would stop recognizing the VA12A and doing this would solve it.

Also, be sure the USB port you use is USB 2.0 - the VA12A just won't work with USB 1.0.

Hope that helps.

I found my problem was that I needed my USB internet stick on the computer in the back of the cpu case and the VA12A and the CM15A USB's on the front of the case.  I had my USB's on an added USB powered hub that X10 suggested, and I figure thats why mine wasn't working.  I am using Windows 7 with AHP version 3.236 and things look good so far.   :)%

Schnurro,

Glad you've started to have some success!  Just remember that 3.236 is a buggy release and some things just can't be made to work right!  On the other hand, the VA12A with some of the AHP video plugins works best (I think, in some cases, only) on 3.236.  There's a thread regarding 3.236 problems, so if you have another problem, look there before you spend much time trying to fix it - it might be one of those "just cannot be fixed" bugs!

Speaking of "just cannot be fixed bugs", maybe one of the real experts here could point us to a thread or post that lists those!

With every new release I try to start a bug list for that partiular release!
It is always a sticky thread in the software problems & Bugs section. ;)
In this case it is Software Problems Version 3.236

Tuicemen,

Thank you!  I thought I had seen that somewhere, but couldn't remember where.
