Gee Whiz! I am speechless (people will pay you money to keep me that way). Knight, Have you used all 256 addresses yet? rofl

BTW under your unfinished catagory. There is a lighting (Lutron?) company that makes the Ed Chung design humless reactor based fan speed control for about $100. If interested, PM me and I will find my bookmark of the unit.

Yes I am interested, but the way I see it, Ed's design has one drawback, and that is that it only has three speeds.  My design takes me to 32 speeds or whatever increments of dimming x10 is capable of.  The controller has been built for some time now.  It drives the fan nicely.  I just need to finishing crashing the kit with a light module and I'll be set.
Remote control is cool,
but automation rules!

....and I have 60 or so open unit codes. :'

Yes, the controller I am remembering only had three speeds, just as Ed's. Does your fan hum?

Dave W,

Funny that I just now caught this question.  Sorry for the delay.  The answer, after some testing, is no.

Mrs.Knightrider

Hi everyone!
This is Mrs.Knightrider.... and I am NOT a saint!

I live in a house that doesn't listen to me...
I have lights that turn on and off when I don't want them to...
I can't even bump the thermostat up to get warmer without it telling Knightrider that I did that....

I do yell and scream sometimes to get him to turn the lights back on while I'm in the tub...
I do roll my eyes when he comes up with different things to do to this poor old house...
And yes, I do make fun of his geekiness behind his back..... Ummm.. I guess the secret is out, huh? :-[

I think, (sorry honey) that I'm going to draw the line at his interference with the running of my kitchen.
UNLESS  -:) I finally get that Kitchenaid Mixer .... RED.... with the attachments....

Don't all of you think I deserve at least that?

Indeed you do!!!!  Welcome to the forum!  Hey you could put it on a appliance module and use a remote to turn in on and off!!!!    -:)

Mrs Dave_x10_L, selected (and received) the silver Kitchenaid Mixer.... and all I get to control in the kitchen is the LED lights over the cabinets.

Don't give in too easy.

OHHHHHH CRAPPPPPPP!

Those darn things are expensive.

Mom was a Home Economics teacher from 1975 to whenever they did away with home ec and she NEVER had a kitchenaid.  That poor old sunbeam did her well for many years.
I still can't figure out why a red mixer runs better than a plain-jane white or silver one either.
Right now, the kitchen is red, but knowing my wife next year we'll be changing that.

Sigh.  I'm opening up ebay right now to keep the WAF up.

A small price to pay for control over a thermostat.

Maybe I should use the mixer as leverage to buy an X9 (yes, that was the project of pico electronics before x10) or maybe that Hilton AC300C turntable I've always wanted.

To All:

Sorry to hijack my own thread for the sake of a marital spat.
