Ever get to work to relize you forgot to start AHP  so you could use it's myhouse feature?
Or forgot to start logmein or something else?
Or realized you left something on that should have been turned off?
Hey no problem now!
With version 3.04.5 of PCC  and the phone triggers:
You can now call up your house (modem required) and turn on or off that x10 device!
Hey you can even start up any program on your PC (if it is on and PCC is running rofl )!

Can PCC interface with the newer internet type of HVAC controls?
PROLIPHIX has an ethernet capable thermostat and HONEYWELL now has WOW( world of wireless) which use "RED-LINK" technology. I'll be installing one of the two soon as an evaluation.

Unfortunately no for the honeywell!
Interfacing with the Honeywell is very doubtful although BVC may be able to interface with it!

Since PROLIPHIX uses an ethernet capable thermostat, it just requires interfacing with a web page!
PCC can open any webpage you wish now. With a X10 compatible remote you could navigate this web page and interact that way!
I'd have to get my hands on one of these puppies to explore farther.
Reading the info wouldn't be an issue as that's what PCC does with the weather option!
So it depends on exactly what you wanted to do! ;)

I have just started using AHP and came across PCC but couldn't get it to run on my Windows Vista 64bit Premium Home Edition. I get the error that the program shut down unexpectedly.  This happens each time I launch PCC. Am I missing something or PCC does not play well with Vista 64bit?

Many Users have issues with running programs with 32 bit programs on a 64 bit OS.
How ever others say they have no issues ::) :'.
This leads me to think your missing something. ???
Not having a 64 bit OS to test with I can't suggest where to start.
If there is a compatibility option you might try looking at that!

Do you have the latest .net framework installed?
3.5 I believe is the newest it adds support for Vista and Windows 7
Not sure if it will help with a 64 bit system but the fact that your getting the error at start up and it doesn't give you the option to ignore suggests to me a net framework issue.

PCC load a CD/DVD drive as well as a few other devices on start up!
It tries to load them to the default drive letter on first install but if that location is already in use or you don't have the device you may get an error but usually it gives the option to ignore the error! ???
Drop me an email or PM with your PC configuration and I'll see if it is trying to load something you don't have.
Not having a 64 bit OS to debug with I'm just stabbing in the dark! B:( B:(
I've added some catches for these which will be in the next release but I may have missed something that your configuration may lead me too! ;)

I dont have a problem spending 30.00 on a program but would be nice to be able to use it first. Like a 10 day test with full options instead of alot of features being disabled so you can tell if its somthing you can use or not.
Thanks

Actualy few features are disabled and those that are are just an extention of what is already there.
Most users donate $20/$30 just to remove the nag tags. ::) :'
Chances are if you can't use what is available in the trial, then the hidden features or Plug-ins won't be of a use for you either! ;)

I guess I should have listened to myself in this thread.

Looks like the NWS screwed up again and sent all that Canadian snow destined for the Olympics to Ohio.  After what I measured to be 11 inches on top of who knows how many inches I already had, the melting has form ice dams in my lower roof and the gutters are nearly gone.

Here in southern Ohio, heater cables in the roof and gutters are rare, but I'd be sitting pretty right now if I had only installed them and hooked them up to X10 with PC Commander's temperature triggers.

 B:(  B:(  B:(  B:(  B:(

Chances are that I'll be retired before we see snow like this again.

I thought science was in agreement that global warming is a hoax.

I don't mean to offend any believers...as many have excepted climate as the "original' religion it always was. I respect others religions. Climate change as a religion... is accepted in faith.. as are all beliefs. And I do respect that acceptance.

But there is no science in global warming theory. As the investigations progress in the United Kingdom over the emails... confessions have already begun. Researchers in the field of climate change... are stepping all over each other to denounce there own involvement and point fingers about "errors" in data. And Phil Jones keeps talking as well.

As I sat trying to come up with another plug-in pack add, I thought about how PC companion could add usable little known X10 RF commands.
Then I realized it already dose use some that AHP can't. But I never realized how many there actually are that AHP can't use (yes it can see them but not act on them)!
The CM15A can send and receive them, PC Companion currently can see all (None Security) but utilizes very few (send and receive)
The draw back is these unused RF commands have to come from another PC using a CM15, CM19 or CM17. or other RF x10 hardware like the Icon Remote. ;)
Ah but why bother with a few extra Codes?
How about over 15000 codes probably closer to 20000 if you count in the camera codes you can't use in your setup?
True these are all RF and many users have RF issues with their setups.
So Is it worth a special RF PCC plug-in? ::) :'
You tell me.
And while your at it what would you like it to do?
