Trying to figure out what I need.
« on: May 02, 2009, 07:18:31 PM »

I just discovered that someone came into my house sometime within the last couple of weeks and took my whole PS3 game collection. Probably a neighborhood kid as there were so many things much more valuable than that to take that were not touched.

I want to put 3 or 4 wireless cameras around the house. I'm trying to find what I need but the more I read the more questions I have.

I need a system that will do the following:

   1. Support 3, maybe 4 cameras
   2. Allow me to record the feeds straight to a computer, not a VCR or DVR.
   3. Only record when the camera senses motion.
   4. Be able to view any camera live through the internet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting how that kit allows you to "monitor all angels of your home".

Is there also a kit that allows you to monitor all the pixies, elves, gnomes and leprechauns?  rofl

While wireless camera setup can be challenging at times, keep in mind that they aren't just wireless for you but are subject to be viewed by anyone with a receiver. There's only 4 common frequencies used. i.e. While, I wouldn't have any problem with a neighbor seeing what my outdoor cameras see, I wouldn't want them to have an inside view of my house or the activities inside.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't planning on using it indoors but that is a good point. Just wanted to catch under the back carport, along the driveway, and the front of the house.
