Shortcuts for CM15a + Active Home Pro
« on: June 01, 2009, 12:14:22 PM »

Hello,
5 Years ago, I have find on Internet an example of desktop shortcuts capable to send X10 commands when you simply click on it using X10COM32.EXE inclued with activehome.

Exemple of the Shorcut:
"C:\Program Files\Home Control\X10COM32.EXE" a1 on

Now I have a CM15a USB and I dont find how to do a similar shortcut  B:(

Is someone can help me or give me an exanple of a other easy way to do this.

Thank You
David From France

Since AHP has many more options then Activehome
You need the file AHCMD.exe included in the AHP SDK
The command to send a plc would be
Code: [Select]
AHCMD Sendplc A1 ONTo send RF the command would be
Code: [Select]
AHCMD Sendrf A1 ONInformation for sending commands is documented in the SDK.

Did you download the SDK. It is not part of the usual AHP setup.
Tuicemen's post has the link. Click on it to download the SDK Programs.

Yes I have The DSK, I have find where the problem was:
the correct text is: "C:\Program Files\AHSDK\bin\ahcmd.exe" sendplc a1 on

Thank you for help

another question :-)

If my shortcut is on PC1 ,did someone try to start the shortcut of PC1 ( placed in a shared folder ) from a PC2 (eeepc) connected to PC1 with WIFI ?
I can do it because when I clic on the shared shorcut It don't start on PC1 but try to find AHCMD.exe on PC2 but can't find it because all is on PC1  :'

If I'm understanding right, you want to remote execute the file?  If so you might want to take a look at Pstools.  There psexec tool does just that.  Here's the link:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896649.aspx

You may also wish to look into starting AHP via a script file to get arround the bug with windows command execution!
I posted a how to walk threw here:
