Random Chimes
« on: May 08, 2009, 05:21:53 AM »

Yesterday the console started chiming as though one of the door/windows had been opened, but none had been altered.  I keep it on Run2 during the evening, though sometimes It goes the whole night.  Could I have bugged the system by arming it in Run2 too much or is this a faulty sensor, I havent had time to check all their batteries but it's been at most 2 months for all the sensors.

Thanks for any input.

I'm having the same problem!

DS7000 with a door/window sensors and only one motion sensor, yet I get random chimes and I'm worried that arming the system will cause false alarms. Any ideas?

Mine actually died shortly after having this problem I'm sorry to report. I would be willing to bet both your units are approaching 5 years old.
