Hi,

Don't jump on me, I read a lot of the posts on "else," etc.  I have several macros that have NOTHING to do with each other, they perform separate functions.  I can not combine them and they don't need "elsessss."  Just to double check, do I understand that I need a separate motion sensor for each independent macro???  Does anyone understand the logic behind this?  Why do the macros link if they have the same trigger?  Is there any workaround???? Was the system designer on drugs?

Thanks

dave w

If you want the macros to run separately, performing different functions, then they would have to have separate triggers. Otherwise if all using the same trigger, they would all run at the same time. If you are using motion sensors as your trigger,  then yes, you need separate motion sensors.

However your comment "does anyone understand this logic?" and "was the system designer on drugs" makes me think I may not be understanding your question.

Here is what I gathered from your post.  You have 2 macros that need to be able to be triggered independently of each other, but at times you need them both to be run from 1 trigger?  If this is the case, can't you create a third macro for the 1 trigger, and have that trigger the 2 other macros???

What are you trying to do exactly?

there is a work arround for almost everything here. But like dbemowsk stated we need to know exactly what your trying to do! Be very detailed in your questions here, it saves lots of time! and hair pulling! rofl

Thanks Dave.

I want them to run at the same time but doing different functions that I can not really combine into one macro.

Reduced down to the very simplest form, they are like such:

Macro 1 turns on Light A1 when motion sensor D1 triggers ON.
Macro 2 turns on Light A2 when motion sensor D1 triggers ON.

I tried to put a picture of the macros in a word doc to post but it is 790 KB (over the stated limit).

How can I send them to you?

OK, I got the files down to allowable size.

Here are the three macros.  There may be some very complicated way to combine them but I have other macros that have to do with cameras and emails, etc. that would make it a nightmare.

See if this helps.

Thanks, JJ

Sorry, new to attaching files.  Here are the other two.
