I just am planning to install 3wired cams for house video surveilance. I know it might not be a problem with wireless, but looks like what is being offered in "kit" sales, is not enough for wired cam attachment to a pc. Anybody can give a reasonable solution ?
For the moment, my all house  lights are being controlled by Active Home Pro software. I have in past tried wireless picture and sound transfer from my PC to a TV with no great results... so that's why I plan to install wired system.Thanx in advance.

Thanx for the tip... are You using x10 cams? Is there one audio for all 4 cams?

astrothug

yes x10 cameras, only one Audio. 4 video inputs.

Just wondering if you ever got this to work with AHP, I have the exact same setup as you. I have a VA11A but no idea how to make the other usb adapter work with it.

Thanks

I wonder will the EasyCAP 4-Channel 4-Input USB 2.0 DVR Video Capture/Surveillance Dongle work with  Wireless 1.2GHz RF 30-IR Night-Vision Weatherproof Security Surveillance Camera w/AV Receiver (NTSC). Here I mean more than one cam with wireless transmitter?
That's the same site where Easy Cap is found.
I understand , it not really is an x10 unit, but I am probing... will soon receive the dongle and that wireless cam  and will try it out ...

rhea I use the set up, with 3 x10 wireless 2.4 ghz camera's and 2 2.4Ghz ER cameras, So if your receiver can output more then one video stream then you could have more then one  camera on screen. But if its like mine you only have one RCA output, and have to switch between the camera's on the receiver. Best to buy wired Camera and use them.

Wonder if this would also work with Vanguard software?
