Hi all. No ! I didn't come up with this.
I've been meaning to post it for quite some time now; But, time slipped away. Anyway here it is:.

It is so obvious that you'll ask yourself..."Now, why didn't I think of this ?"  . Just like I did.

Put your car keys beside your bed at night.
It's an added security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation.

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car.
The car alarm will go off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.
Also waking neighbors, who will look outside to see what is going on.
Possibly seeing the culprit.

Test it.
It will go off from most anywhere inside your house.

Carry your keys in your hand, while walking to your car in a parking lot, etc..
Have it readily available to set off your car's alarm in case of a problem.

Share this information ..... 
Maybe it could save a life or prevent a sexual abuse crime.

Good idea! 

While I'm not sure in the specific case of a panic trigger, most alarms, car and home, are designed to time out after a period of time if tripped. Many car alarms when rearming will inactivate the zone that tripped them for 30-60 min.

Ironically my car alarm has just gone into near mute mode and I'm heading out the door now to get it fixed now.

Car alarms are an absolute must no way would I have my Jag if I didn't have one they tried to steal it at least 5 times but my Viper system never ever let them even get close! Auto alarms are just part of a complete security system. Also rigged up an Eagle Eye and macro I hid two in the bushes anytime someone approached the car at night from the street the porch light would go full bright and chime in the house, worked every time! the dummies never figured it out and they simply just gave up after a while.
