SDK Documentation? CHM Doesn't work!
« on: July 22, 2009, 01:04:58 AM »

Hey all,

I'm trying to open the SDK documentation CHM and it doesnt work. it says "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" and none of the pages open. Is this an IE problem or is there a problem with the file?

See the post at my forums here: Help file: "The page cannot be displayed" error. it talks about the BVC help file, but it is the same problem and the same solution to view the AHP SDK help file.   ;)

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!

Yep, done that. It doesn't work. Any reason why x10 doesn't just do this in HTML like everyone else?

CHM is just HTML and supporting files compressed into one file. On Windows, a CHM file can be extracted to plain HTML with the command:

hh.exe -decompile extracted filename.chm

This will decompress all files embedded in filename.chm to folder extracted.
